Illusionism is the art of producing phenomena that apparently contradict natural laws or the doctrine according to which everything is simple in appearance. This was the starting point of the conceptualization of ”Illusionism”. We related the ‘illusion’ to the city, its movement and the people who dwell there, to demonstrate how these people leave behind their own essence to take up different roles. Because of their busy, fast-tracked lives, they forget about their inner selves. Along these lines, Gabriel Tardé defines ‘society’ as a group of people who imitate what others do, as a reflection or imitation. These findings were reflected in a project that enabled us to represent the distorted and altered shapes of the world and of our daily living as illusions in a sophisticated and elegant wardrobe.
